What is CertReel?

CertReel turns a topic, prompt, or uploaded document into a short, AI-generated animated training video, builds a knowledge-check quiz, lets you enroll your staff by email, and issues verifiable certificates of completion — so you can train your team and prove they did it, in minutes.

How does it work?

1. Pick a topic or upload a document. The AI writes the script, draws the characters, and narrates it.
2. Review the quiz. CertReel generates knowledge-check questions; you can edit them before publishing.
3. Publish and enroll your team. Each person gets a personal link. They watch, take the quiz, and a certificate is emailed automatically when they pass.

What does it cost?

You only pay for what you use, and there are two ways to pay:

• Pay-as-you-go: buy a one-time credit pack and use the credits to generate and download training videos — no subscription needed. Credits are consumed per video (longer videos cost a few more).
• Subscription — $20/month: get 100 credits every month plus the team features — enrolling your staff by email, automatic certificates, and completion dashboards.

So if you just want to make and download videos, credits alone are enough. The subscription adds the recurring credits and the tools to train and certify a team. There's no free tier — every plan is fully paid. See the home page for current pricing and our Refund & Billing Policy for details.

How do certificates work — and are they trustworthy?

Certificates are only issued after a learner actually watches the video (enforced by the server, not the browser) and passes the quiz. Each certificate has a public verification link anyone can use to confirm it's genuine. Note: CertReel certificates are records of completion on our platform — they are not an accredited or government-recognized credential unless you arrange that separately.

Are my trainings private?

Yes. Every training is private by default — only you and the staff you enroll (via their personal invite link) can watch it. If you want a training to be openly shareable by link, you can flip it to public from its results dashboard.

How do I enroll my team?

Open a published training's results page and paste your employees' email addresses. Each person receives a personal link that records their completion automatically, and their certificate is emailed when they pass. Only the business that created a training can see its dashboard and completion records.

Can I get my records out?

Anytime. Use Export All from your account to download your trainings and completion/certificate records (CSV/JSON). You can export even before any video files are deleted — see our Privacy Policy for retention details.

How long do you keep my videos and records?

Certificates and completion records are kept while your account is active and for at least 12 months after you cancel (and as long as CertReel operates), so verification links keep working. If a subscription lapses, the video files are removed about 90 days later. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Do you offer refunds?

Payments and credits are non-refundable. Cancelling stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. See the Refund & Billing Policy.

Is my data secure?

We use encryption in transit, expiring signed links for video delivery, per-account access controls, and a server-enforced watch gate for certificate integrity. We don't sell your data. See our Privacy Policy and Subprocessors for specifics.

How do I sign in?

CertReel uses passwordless sign-in: enter your email and we send a one-time magic link. No password to remember or leak.
